Thousands of townies spawned in the span of a few sim days
So I had an issue with my game lagging and time freezing, where my sims continue to move idly but I can't click on anything or do anything. The in-game time gets stuck for a while before jumping forward. This happens frequently enough that it's almost unplayable. I read about a father winter glitch that could cause this so I unhid the hidden households with a mod (MCC) but there was only one father winter. However, when I looked into other households in manage households, there were hundreds upon hundreds of townies, maybe even over a thousand. I regularly delete them so only a few sim days ago there were only five. There is no option to delete them all except with MCC (which just crashes my game) so I have to delete them all one by one, which is taking me a long time. Could this be the cause of my freezing and lagging? And what would lead to this mass generation of townies all at once?
