Unable to invited friends to a wedding

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.96.365.1030
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Every expansion pack except Eco Lifestyle. Game Packs: My wedding stories, Vampires, Dream home decorator, Parenthood, Dine out, spa day, outdoor retreat, strangerville Stuff packs: Laundry day, Vintage glamour, Cool kitchen stuff, backyard stuff, Movie hangout, Luxury part.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? When I try to plan a wedding event and add guests for the wedding, only sims in my current household will appear. If I try to do any other event like dinner party or baby shower all of the sims appear.
What happens when the bug occurs? The game is not allowing me to invite sims that are not in the household.
What do you expect to see? I want to see all of the sims that my current sim has a relationship with in order to invite them to the wedding.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Yes
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure

The game allows me to invite elderly sims as well but not any other age.

    @qbaby325 I'm on Mac OS, every expansion pack, every game pack, and every stuff pack. I'm only missing the following kits:
    Pastel Pop
    Everyday Culture
    Simtimates Collection
    Bathroom Clutter

    I am on version 1.97.42.1230

    I can't even invite *anyone* when I go to plan a wedding, not even elders. Just the bride and groom. I've had to instantly elope instead.

    I can invite people just fine to other wedding-related events, just can't plan out the wedding itself. It sucks because my Sim has a sister who would have been a wonderful flower girl, and a brother who would have been a wonderful ring bearer.

    I have n mods or custom content installed. I have no idea if this occurred after a specific patch or not. I haven't played the game in almost a year (the last time I played, infants weren't even a thing, nor were fears).

    @ithinkitisayit I tested your save and I can invite anyone as guest. Kids, adults ..

    For the ring bearer, .. you need to ask another Sim first, then they appear on the list. Looks like you haven't done that yet.

    @crinrict AH! My mistake. I thought this was akin to the rest of the Sims Interaction where I could just tell people "You're the flower girl. Show up."
