unresponive sims

after the recent game up date my sims are not responding to commands. At first it was just a few,n and response was slow, not they don't respond at all and will stand idly in a spot until they die. what is going on? How do I fix this? can this be fixed?

    @cmassey62 EAre you playing with any mods or CC in your Mods folder? If so, see what happens after you drag that folder to your desktop and delete localthumbcache. (Don't save, though! Or test in a new game.)
