- In every version. I prefer CC to match the look of the games and tbh I often simply don’t like the style of alpha CC. Glad it’s not the game’s.
- I'd never use alpha for gameplay, I think it has potential for things like screenshots... but the bulk of it is made so poorly that it's really a struggle to find any that I like. (Although, the quality of "maxis-match" is really going downhill these days, too)

Do you prefer Maxis Match or Alpha CC? And why?
Maxis Match looks better to me than Alpha CC. :) - The rare times I use CC, it's only Maxis Match. I really like the look of this game, and I really don't like style inconsistency.
- I want my cc to match the style of the game, so maxis match 100% for me.
- Hermitgirl8 years agoSeasoned AceI play around with cc now and then.. usually wiping it frequently. I decided to try alpha once and they just did not match the surroundings and I mean if townies looked bad before they became a horror show with some alpha. I think it might be quite good for realistic looking pictures but I can't see going through the work of trying to put that in my game ever again. (It was sort of funny for a little while though)
- Having alpha cc in the game feels to me like putting realistic eyes on a cartoon smiley face. Just looks kinda weird and unnatural.

- Honestly my opinion on this changes a lot, sometimes I'm more into MM but some other times it's alpha
- ck2138 years agoLegendI don't care for the art style.
It's all too chunky and blocky for me. It's nice and colorful, but I prefer more detailed meshes and not have everything be so thick.
So my game has a lot of CC and this goes beyond just hair.
