why are my package files now reading as rar files

After I just finished opening up a rar file of a mod that needed to be updated and now all of my package files are reading as 7zip files last night How did this happen and how do I get them go back ...

    @ZazzyKittyn 

    This happened because you tried to open a package file with 7zip. Don't worry the package file will still work.

    Thank you for letting me know that they are not broken

    My son when he played last night some how was able to fix so I know that they are TS4 package files and not 7zip

    I didn't want to play the game incase it breaks or corrupts
