Zero's Occult Mods status or replacement?

OK, a couple of questions...

Firstly, does anyone know how broken Zero's Occult Mods are after the recent patch? I haven't loaded the patch, myself, but I have several of Zero's mods and am concerned. Given Zero's latest Paetron posts, I got the sense that he might be out of the game.

Which leads me to secondly, if Zero is out of the game does anyone know a good source for alternative occult mods?
