Adding platform to room brings Friezes inside

so I'm hoping I'm missing something obvious, I'm trying to do a run down house that I can renovate,

This house I've tried to add Friezes, which I never normally bother with as they are  mostly humongous but in a pack I have a small one,

So added to house, fine, then I try put a drop down floor in the bathroom for a shower area and it brings them inside the room?? I can manually delete a tiny bit but removing any other pieces also removes it from the outside? Any help?

  • @cbarber89Yes there's a way around it.
What you need to do is build the outside wall using a room tool, then add the frieze. Then add your platform indoors, but don't use the room tool again, use the single wall tool. If you use a room tool it will add a frieze.
You can also use individual half walls indoors around the shower too, but again avoid the room tool.
I've run into this a few times with platforms and with half walls around baths and showers. It's a bit trial and error. I'll add some images for you in a minute, just transferring them over to my phone.

Edit: images added. Hope this helps!

@simsplayer818 Ahh I see, I was using the room tool for this build, again something I've never really done as I love creating my own wacky wall style rather than box. By the time I saw your reply I'd gotten well into sorting the interior:
I'm creating a run down, fixer upper home with lots of debris and broken objects, but very good to know, as mentioned I very very rarely use the frieze and also room tool so it must of just been a perfect storm of lesser used things for me 🤣 I'll be sure to give your tips ago on my next build and see if I can get my head around it 🙂 x
  • @cbarber89 I don't use the friezes much either because I like short walls with bigger windows and the friezes often wipe them out! It took a while to figure them out because they appear over stairwells too, they float in mid air and look ridiculous lol. I'd love to be able to draw the friezes on instead of applying them to a room, same with wall trims. It would be soooo much easier.

    Good luck with your build!
