Broken Custom Tattooed Sims

So, my roommate spent roughly 8 hours making two mermaids with custom tattoos. They saved it to the gallery and decided they would download them back later to play with them. Everytime either one of us (on our own xboxes) goes and downloads them from either the gallery or her library none of the tattoos that were painted on show up. They completely are gone. We have tried restarting our consoles and such multiple times. We both have tried downloading them on a new save file. Nothing has worked. The maker listed would be Nori Ariake

Their pictures on the gallery show the custom tattoos on them.
