CAS controller bug STILL not fixed!

I recently switched to PS5 and since then I have not been able to finish creating a single Sim. Every time I try to start playing, the controller stops responding to my inputs when I am still in Create a Sim. I am able to rotate my Sim and toggle up and down the menu, but I can't select or exit. I have tried different fixes for this, but it still happens every time, and there is no fix except to stop playing and lose all of my progress. I've seen numerous reddit threads and EA forums alike of people complaining about this issue, some even from Xbox users as well, many of the posts being as old as three years! How can EA let the game be unplayable to such a large group of players for so long? Don't they care if people can use their product?
