Cleared Gallery

Hello, me again. Back with more... upsetting news. It's a long story so let me (try) and make it entertaining. If you'd wish to read the issue, it'll be written in bold and underlined. I will also colour potential actions that lead to the issue in red and write it out in italics.

So, I was updating a family saved to my gallery, adding an additional member and all. It was then that I decided to save said family (to work on later).

Error. My gallery was full. An issue that I never thought to be possible but easy to fix. So I quickly go through my gallery, deleting old houses and households here and there. When I finished, I tried once again to save the household I was working on.

Error. Unexpected issue, try again later. No big deal, I've saved this household as a WIP previously. So I try again and again. Still the same issue. Fail after fail, I slowly grew irritated resulting in my own pursuit of the issue.

It was right infront of my eyes. One gallery image had yet to load in. So I simply... clicked on the unloaded image, hoping if I did, it'd load quicker/ fix the issue at hand. I waited a bit, hoping to get results. Nothing. I grew impatient, clicking the "save to gallery" button before the image loaded. Then suddenly...

—Nothing. Nothing at all happened. It was as if it was considering saving it without the intention behind doing so. I waited. Maybe if I did so it'd work. Nothing. I tried getting out of that menu to no avail. So, finally accepting defeat, I opted to rest my PlayStation (having seen no other choice). I booted it up, entered the Sims 4 only to be met with a Corruption pop up. Next thing I knew, when I opened up my gallery, nothing, that I have saved, was present on my screen. Complete and utterly wipe out.

So, I'm asking for help. Anything, that could bring my gallery back, at all. Any help will be much appreciated.

I has this happen too! I'm on PS4. My entire library was erased after the same BS you went through! I found a comment under another bug that had this happened to them too but couldn't find it again. Same with an old report I couldn't interact with because the forums are garbage on mobile and I couldn't find that again either.

I had never used the gallery before and I put a few Sims up to share with a friend and take them back down.  I got a couple uploaded then got the "full" message. So I started deleting things from my library. Then it gave me error messages and then crashed. Loaded back in and had a corruption error and deleted my last save. I wasn't worried though cause I run on 2 identical saves so just loaded the other one, saved a new second save and carried on as everything seemed fine. But I didn't bother trying to put anything up on the gallery again and didn't think much of it. Then I wanted to save a household to my library a couple weeks after this and when I went to check it saved ok, it was the only thing in my entire library! Everything was gone! Years of my saved households and builds gone! I lost the last of my love of this game that day and now know it's a waste of money and time. I don't expect to ever have this fixed but wanted to let OP know that this is a real thing and you're not alone.

There is an error that causes corruption and it will erase your entire library and it all starts with a "gallery full" message. This post, my experience, the comment on another post and the old post I found ALL referenced "gallery full" message before everything got wiped. This is a very real issue and it's a devastating one if you're unlucky enough to get it.

This report is 2 weeks old and hasn't even been acknowledged. Why don't these have votes like bug reports? Are these reports not monitored like other bug reports? If it's a technical issue, can it be restored?

Anyway, I'm sorry for your loss OP and I hope someone acknowledges this report soon.
