Console - missing household and household items

Has anyone else spent time making sims, building up their skills and fully decorating a home only for the sims and all house decorations to vanish later, the house shell and landscaping still there (no mods on ps4)... any thoughts!?

    @RayneBo99 

    It sounds like you may be seeing some "culling" in your game- culling is the removal of households from the game for performance-management and game stability. 

    You can read up a bit more on how this works in-game in the post here.

    Hey there @RayneBo99,

    If you check the date on the save file on your console, does it look like your game isn't saving since the last time you played?

    It's not sims I recently made, it's sims that have been around for a while and all of a sudden the sims and the contents of the house are gone. I save often and also have a backup save

    Oh no, that's horrible, I mean I understand why it may need to be done but yuck! Thanks for your answer
