[CONSOLE] Inventory items disappear

could you give some more details as this can have many causes.

• Does this happen for one specific Sim or all of them ?
• Do all items disappear or only specific ones ?
• When do they disappear ?
• Which inventories are affected ?

all Sims but happens to specific items. it's only their personal inventory and it seems like objects that can be put away in other places, but they're not in there when you go to look. for example books and fruit are commonly going missing for my Sims but they're not in the bookcase or the refrigerator.

Could you test this on a new save too ? 

Are these usually items you newly add to the inventory and then travel or have they been in the inventory for a while ?

It's a bit hard to troubleshoot console as you don't have the usual indicators in the files of what could be going wrong.

Moved this to console for now so a console player can assist better.

no I'm not testing on a new save, I've had the same save file since the game came out but thanks. like I'll save over as a new save but it'll be the same game play if that makes sense. and no it's nothing that's been in there for a long time I repeatedly have to replace these items every time they like come home from school  or work and stuff. so I usually send my Sims to school or work with any career books, skill books, homework and fruit and then whatever random stuff is in there inventory. it's the books and the fruit that seem to be disappearing I have to replace them every time. I've heard people say this is happening on PC as well but it's in like in a discord server not in the forum

For PC it was an outdated mod issue. Very easy to replicate if you put in an outdated version of said mod.

As I said, it's basically a symptom of something either corrupt in the inventory that makes stuff disappear or some other reason. Do they disappear when you have a loading screen (travel, CAS, load game) or just randomly even if you just play in the same house ?

You don't have to throw away your save, it would just be to know if it also happens on a new save or just that particular one. You can have more than one save on console, right ?

Are you playing just one household on the save ? Would also be a good test to test another and then just don't save the game or use save as and test there.

as i said I have no mods. and as i said its happening when sims leave the lots, like as i said travelling, going to work etc. and as i said no im not starting up a new save file, i use my save spaces for safety of keeping my save unbugged. it happens on all of the saves and households. it happens on new and old items as I've said I've had to replace homework and fruit multiple times now. I don't think it's a bug item in the inventory to be completely honest with you they don't have anything abnormal in their inventories and it happens to multiple households if not all but this is honestly getting like pretty repetitive.
