Controller problems exclusive to Sims 4

My xbox controller is doing this weird thing but only on Sims 4, where it doesn't let me navigate menus with the left analog stick. I keep pushing the stick left but it seems to be stuck going right ...

Which menus specifically are you seeing this in- is it all menus or only CAS, Build/Buy etc? 

Have you tested a different controller as well?
