On PC when you use the hidden objects and live edit objects cheats you can search debug and all the debug items will show up which is great.. problem is on console like PlayStation and Xbox if you search debug nothing shows up and you can’t access the all debug items in the regular menu
katrinaBorowiak Hi! Debug on console works a bit differently. I normally play on PC, so I'm not an expert on the console, but these are the things I've learned so far. By the way, this is for Playstation, so I'm not sure if it's different on Xbox.
For console, I believe most of the debug items are labeled "unknown" instead. I've seen some items with actual names, which is something I don't see much in the PC debug items. The search tool doesn't work for this, even when the cheats have been added. It will not find all the "unknown" items. Even when I know the exact name of a debug item, the search results are off by several rows when I try to search for them. So, it's just been easier for me to scroll through the list. The list can be filtered by pack, which can save some time. EDIT: I forgot something. If you add a pack filter, the list will be re-sorted with pack items at the top. If you select the Generec Items again, the debug / unknown items will re-sort to the top.
On console, to get to the list, the lot can't be an owned, Residential lot. If you want to add debug / unknown items on a lot where sims are living, you'll have to move them out temporarily. The lot must be a Generic lot type, because the items are only available in the Objects By Function > Generic Items menu. Once you've gone into Build mode and changed the lot type, enter bb.showhiddenobjects cheat first, then enter bb.showliveeditobjects cheat after that. Then go to the Genereic Items menu.
