If you're still having problems after that point, it would be best to try these steps from PlayStation's site to boot your system in Safe Mode. From here, you'll want to make sure there aren't any available System Software updates.

If you're fully up to date in both areas, you'll want to try the option under Safe Mode > Clear Cache and Rebuild Database > Clear System Software Cache. Restart your system and try the game again after this completes.
