Game Crashes When Loading Into Household XBOX ONE

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:Microsoft XBOX One
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? Sims 4
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All of them.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Try logging into my game through my xbox?
What happens when the bug occurs? My TV screen turns completely black for a brief few seconds, and then kicks me back out to my main xbox home screen. No error messages pop up.
What do you expect to see? I try to load into a household to see my family and house that I built/created, but instead I get completely kicked out of the game unable to play anything.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure

This is ridiculous. For weeks I am unable to play this game. Everytime I try to load into ANY household, my TV screen turns black and then loads me back to my main xbox screen. I don't get any error messages. I am able to get to the main menu. I am able to access my neighborhoods. I am able to edit my Sims. But everytime I click on a household to enter and play the game, it crashes. This has been going on for weeks now.

I've tried clearing up my cache files, restarting, etc, but NOTHING fixes this issue. PLEASE get this bug taken care of. It's ridiculous having to pay for this game and these expansion packs but not being able to use them.

@22e7598407c66bab There isn't any way to increase the memory space. This is a limitation of the console. A help thread for dealing with this size issue on older gen consoles is here: Autonomy and Simulation Lag

You can still use your new packs, but you must keep the size of the lot and the amount of packs used in the build to a minimum in each build.

I am having this exact same issue! I figured out it's because of how many items I have in that household, but why allow it if it's going to cause problems??? Yeah, I have 4 basements and 4 levels. Lots of items. But really? Rich Sims and all that. Why not have fun with it?

@VirologicTuba7 This sounds like an out of memory error in your game. If you have a large lot with a lot of items in it and a very large build, this can happen. Try removing some items from the build or moving your sims to a smaller lot.

How can you increase memory space on an XBox One? I mean, if the game is on the XBox, wouldn't you expect it to run regardless? I can accept slow speeds, but it drives me nuts that I can't use that many items on such a large building space. I bought a lot of expansions thinking I might actually be able to USE them all.

@22e7598407c66bab Yep I figured it out being that as well. It is really irritating!!! I like having the large abundance of items sometimes! It’s the absolute worst

I am having the exact same issue now!! Its been going on for about a week now! Its so irritating and frustrating as i just want to play my household but its just unplayable completely! Its what i do in my spare time after work every night, its what i enjoy and it makes me happy but now its taken away from me, not to mention the amount of money i have spent on all the packs. Once it actually loaded all the way and i was surprised, then to find out everything on the lot including the landscape around the lot like the rocks and trees were black, which was bizarre. Like it was a loading issue/bug.

EA this needs fixing NOW!! It’s ridiculous. I have also tried solving it by restarting my xbox a million times, clearing cache, deleting the game then reinstalling it and its STILL not working!!

This is crazy...I've been having this problem since August and I just found this thread. You mean to tell me I have to use minimum of what I bought???? Okay so did it work for you guys or....?

The way I've gotten around it is to go to a lot that I can always load into with my sims, do some stuff there and after a while take them home and usually pops in. If that doesn't work then I will switch to another person through cas modify. When I click out of that, I make sure to have it on someone who is at their home life and it loads in half the time. It depends on how long you been on the other person first. I've been dealing with this since August and I found a lot of ways to move past it but it's getting unbearable now because my lot that I always go to that always works turned off yesterday....

@Pinky_like What size is the lot that your household is on? Because i’ve heard sometimes it can be the size of the lot and how many items you have which is ridiculous! I have a family of 7 plus a dog so i need ALOT of space for things. I’ve had to move them from a 40x30 lot (which isn’t even that big) and i am building them a new house as we speak on a 30x20 lot with minimal items to see if that works!

I have also read that if you download houses from the gallery too it could also trigger this problem when you try and load into it, so i have built this one from scratch instead of downloading to see. It’s a joke!! Why allow big lots and loads of packs for us to buy if we can’t even use them?!?!?!😠

@Ellcott_x I've been having that same problem where areas of my lot would be black as well. Or some furniture will be invisible. What I've noticed is that sometimes if I just enter a household in build mode (rather than play household mode) and edit the house a bit, my game would automatically adjust my graphic settings and once that's done, I am able to enter into my households. BUT you're right...this shouldn't be the way for us to enter into our households and play the game like we want to. Especially since we've all invested our money into these packs. If this doesn't get resolved, EA is gonna lose out on a lot of money because I'm to a point where I'm refusing to buy anymore packs until this gets fixed (if it ever does). It's not fair that this playtime is taken away from a lot of us. As for memory, I do have plenty of space on my console. And I've cleared up my cache files.
