Gift card

So I went to a game stop and got a $25 sims 4 gift card and the man said that it would work on Xbox but I have to redeem it through the website. I did that but I don’t understand how I can get any thing with it because when I try to get the vamp pack it sends me to the Microsoft store.

    @ScarceRat0331 I've never heard of a Sims 4 gift card. If the card was for Origin on the PC, it will not work for your XBox. You can only use XBox gift cards to purchase the game through the Microsoft store on your XBox.
