I know there’s a way to do it on PC but we don’t have a “shift” button and I’m not sure the equivalent
On the Xbox it's the x button, and since I've a history of playing playstation in the past, I'd wager that it's the square button for you.

Thank you! Just tried this and it actually worked, until I clicked to place it and then both sides moved 🤦🏻♀️ Oy!! Us console players get the short end!! 😭
On the PS4, you need to hit SQUARE and X at the same time to confirm it. It will take a few attempts to get it register just right.
I figured it out, to use that feature you have to get out of the build menu completely, so just go to any object menu then you can adjust the eave with square and X, I hope this helps even though you asked years ago
