I cant buy books in sims 4

(Excuse my grammar) There is a bug in the sims 4 in both xbox and ps regardind buying books, books are used to learn skills, there is not a possibility to play this game without learning skills so i request that this bug is fixed. Ive tried both bookshelfs (at home and in library and all the varieties of purchaseable bookshelfs) and at a computer (also the purchaseable computers at home and public computers) the main problem is that can not press the “buy” button in the “purchase books” section, it feels like the “buy” button is not even there. Ive read many posts about this pecific problem but no one has answered the original posters problem with a working solution, this is not a question that can be answered with a loophole solution or any other way, this is a big that has to be fixed via game patch. EA; fix this!
