I cant click and drag sledgehammer tool xbox one

Okay so I have the same issue and I haven't been able to fix it but I have figured out a little trick to get it to work. I don't know if it'll work for you too, but it's worth a try. If I click on the eyedropper and click any random thing and then switch over to sledgehammer without hitting B or switching to cursor first, it'll let me click and drag.
