In CAS when I try to create a new sim it doesn’t let me click on anything

I’m on PlayStation when I try to create a new sim and click on the eyes to change my sims eyes it doesn’t let me do anything and when I try to click my touchpad to see if I can click on it with the cursor it just exit me out of everything
