The game menu's will be in whichever language your console is set to, but your Sims will be speaking their own language called Simlish- are the menu's not in English for you either?
If the game menu isn't in English, let's check that your console's language and locale settings are set correctly by going to Settings-> System Settings-> Console Settings-> Language & Locale-> Language. If this is set correctly, but the menu's in-game are still incorrect, please uninstall and reinstall the game, and let me know how that works for you.
