Community ManagerFrom the main menu of The Sims, instead of clicking on Load Game, or resume, you're going to select New Game. This will load a brand new save file, and you can create a new family to test out.

If it's the house that's causing the issue, try bulldozing and replacing this lot, or placing this house on a different lot instead.
