Lovestruck completely broken

I have been dealing with lovestruck being broken for about 2 months now, my sims won't stay happy in their relationships even if they're very compatible and satisfied in their relationship. Their relationship bar literally drains to red as I have them do romantic interactions. It is so frustrating because it's one of the most important mechanics in the game and I pretty much can't have my sims have any love interests...
