Muscle Definition Error?

So I've looked this up several times and encounter this issue in practically every save it applies to. Whenever I make a male sim who's muscle bar is high enough that he has clear muscle definition (abs, biceps, etc.) in CAS, I often find that after a loading screen or loading the save later that the sim's muscle definition has changed. The muscle mass remains the same, the sim always remains as bulky as before, but details to indicate muscle definition are gone. For example, the sim will have had defined abs before, but his stomach will show little to no muscle after the error occurs. I've tried several fixes from other sites including adjusting hip width and reloading the save. I also noticed that any editing to the sim's body shape in CAS will cause this to occur (I had a muscular male sim who's hindquarters were a bit too large for my liking, so I fixed it in CAS and his muscle definition was gone when I loaded in live mode.) This isn't game breaking, but it's pretty annoying. Game is updated to the latest version and I obviously don't have any mods (as I'm on PS4). Any suggestions for how to fix this are greatly appreciated.
