My Sims girl won’t eat or clean herself ..

Can’t get my Sims to eat or clean themselve5. 

I made a couple of Sims and they have a home. One of them, a girl has hunger needs and is dirty ( bad hygiene ). I’m tryung to get her to eat. I chose her needs and clicked to eat food. I clicked on the refrigerator and chose make a meal, cook, etc.. and nothing happens.

i also chose from the shower, command to take a shower..and nothing happens. What to do ?

thanks ..please help her before she dies or smells so bad 😉
