No Option to Save to New Game

Whenever I begin a new game from the home menu there isn't an option to save it to a new save file. Instead it prompts me to save it to one of my already created saved games. There used to be a 'New Save' button option, but now it's just gone. This problem started when I downloaded the new werewolves pack, or at least that's when I noticed it. I am playing on the console (xbox) version of the sims 4. I make sure to keep my game up to date, but so far there has been no fix. Please help.
