None of the goaled events show required tasks that are needed to get awards

I've so far hosted 2 house parties, a dinner party, a baby shower, a slumber party and about 6 funerals and I can never get any achievements. It always says the party/event was a flop. I don't get any tasks show up in the parties and showers and the funeral tasks show up and I do them all but I still never get the bar to move up. The only one that seems to be ok is the high school prom. I even cancel any conflicting events that might be happening the same time like The Lottery or Talk Like A Pirate Day.
