Pet adoption

Even though the sims 4 update has said that pet adoption was fixed, mine is not, the pets i have chosen to adopt will arrive but when i go to adopt the cat/dog my sim will just hold it and no pop up will come to confirm the adoption, I’ve reloaded my game and everything yet its still not allowing me to adopt a pet!

It doesn't say it's fixed, it says it's "upcoming" and they said in the laundry list on 6/23 that it would be fixed in the base game update on 6/30. Also, if you haven't seen any updates on your game, nothing has changed. :)
