Plasma pack bug/glitch?

I just had a family transformed into vampires and typically I just give them plasma packs in their inventory. I'm starting to have an issue where when I make them drink one, they act like they can't walk to an area? The selected Sim won't even do it autonomously.

It shows up in their hot bar and then disappears.

Please note, I'm playing on PS4 so I have no mods installed. I've tried moving them to different areas of the house and I'm getting the same thing. It seems like some of them are autonomously drinking when I have a different Sim selected.
