[PS4] Sim won’t do anything, not even urinate from bladder failure
Product: The Sims 4
Platform:Sony Playstation 4
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Often (50% - 99%)
What is your current game version number? 1.23
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Pets
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Ever since I moved my sim to the largest unoccupied home in the base game my sim has randomly stopped doing assigned tasks. She just stands there. Even if I exit out of the entire game and come back, she still won’t do anything/move. This did not happen at all when she lived in a base game starter home.
What happens when the bug occurs? My sim stops responding to commands and just stands there in one spot. She won’t even do the the automated tasks like when she needs to pee on herself for bladder failure. That stays in the queue as well.
What do you expect to see? Sim should do all assigned tasks.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? On console - never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure
N/A
@PoptartJuniper thank you for the suggestion! That did not work for me, but I appreciate the effort. She was still stuck when I returned after doing that.
GENERAL COMMENT WITH A SOLUTION, NOT DIRECTED AT YOU:I am a basic style simmer, I did not use mods or change anything, let alone the the furniture, when I moved her into this home. So I know it is nothing I personally did to the environment around her that made this problem happen (she just went to sleep, woke up due to her need to use the bathroom and was stuck standing beside her bed), but regardless, I found a quick temporary solution to my issue. I am posting it here for people who are google searching in the future who want something simple to try.
I first tried just moving away the furniture nearby, since one of my other sims would go in the bathroom and use it but then get stuck in there. That seemed to work for him. It did not for my main sim that this issue was reported about.
For her I found that moving the furniture literally on top of her/where she is standing forces her out of that position and, for whatever reason, resets her. She did not get stuck again in the few hours I played after I did that. But if she does in the future, I’m just gonna do it again. Annoying, but simple.
