Re: Connection is Required error

I'm getting the message "EA app authentication failed. Please log in to EA app to enable online features". I checked my account on EA, and it shows it's already linked to my PS 4 account. I checked my wifi and even reconnected to the internet to be sure. I cleared the ps 4 cache. It won't fix the problem. I didn't get this issue until after I installed the new update.

    I'm also getting this message since the recent update. Changed my ea password, got a wired connection and still not downloading the sim delivery

    Same for me. I cannot see any pack or kit after Life and Death on the store and on the PS store as well. If i see an add of a recent pack or Kit, it says it is unavailable

    I was able to get in touch with an agent in chat, and they advised me to clear the cache in the EA app. It worked for me. It got rid of the "Connection Required" message, and it resolved the "Sims Delivery' issue I was having where I had to manually resume the download each time I opened the game. I don't know if yours is an EA app issue or more of a psn account one. If the EA app cache clear doesn't work, try assistance from playstation support. I recieved help from them when my Sims game was crashing.

    What EA App do you speak of? I have no EA App on my PS5 nor is there one on android. Where can I find this EA App?

    How do you clear the cache? I think that's the only thing I haven't tried yet because I don't know how. I've been getting the ea account connection issue and I can't claim any of the event awards.

    For me, I have the EA app downloaded on my computer. I have it on my desktop. I don't know about an EA app for ps5 since I'm on ps4. But I check the app on my pc and it shows the account linked to my ps4. If you google EA app, it should take you to the EA page to download it.

    Open the EA app. Click on the three horizontal lines in the top left hand corner of the app. Scroll onto "Help", then click "App Recovery". It shoud open a window saying "Restart to Run App Recovery". Click on the 'Clear Cache' button. You might have to re-sign into the ea app.

    Try clearing the cache in the EA app. I was advised to do so from a chat agent, and so far it helped me.
