Most of what we actually asked for isn't there, the theme of this thread was simplicity and ease of use. I've played it for several hours now, I can figure them out but I'm so perplexed. The one thing that is there that we asked for is unfortunately really process heavy instead of a simple button function and that's the Sell All function in build mode finally. I'm really glad that's been added but first it freezes everything. Then eventually the Sell/simolean image pops up, then it's more repetitive clicking to select an amount. I think what we were asking for is just the Y button to sell instantly, like with the personal inventory. It could not have been made more finicky.
The control fixes to CAS aren't there and are a massive issue. You still can't scroll instantly to the top in CAS to select outfits 2,3,4,5. It sticks even more as well. After this update it stuck 16 times yesterday while creating 1 Sim with an outfit for each category, hair, accessories and nails. So 16 times the item freezes, is highlighted green and you can't scroll or click anywhere to choose, say a different top. You have to press back and then go into the category again. It's worst in the nail category. Every fingernail selection stuck, I pressed Back and tried again.
Please do not make the wholesale changes to CAS though. Just help us select outfits quickly and do something about the freezing.
By the time I'd made a couple of edits to a lot and created a Sim and her dog...well let's just say I had the gamer's "claw". My poor hand. The use of triggers instead of the A button (that my thumb is resting on anyway) isn't kind either, I feel that in my wrist. I don't know if you thought it was kinder or if it was just perhaps bad advice (I've been an occupational assessor for an office). Or maybe you wanted more trigger functions. But what you neglected to factor in too, is that gamers use these Xbox/PS buttons for similar tasks on various games. This is our muscle memory, in my case decades worth. Since day one of Sims and for games before that too. It's a transferred reflex to hit that button and it's easier than the trigger, particularly for my RSI. It should be optional. So at least A/RT for us to choose what's comfortable. It's even straining my eyes trying to hit the colour choices with the cursor.
All we asked for were a few shortcut buttons and simplified actions, less work not more. We got this, well intentioned I'm sure but you went too big and too drastic.
