That 50% discount you're seeing from the EA website is specific to Mac and PC for Origin and the EA app only- if you're looking to purchase for PlayStation, I am seeing a 10% off sale currently for the PlayStation store, you can find that here. 

Sales prices on the EA app and Origin will not always be the same as the sales you see for the PlayStation store.
