As you seem to be describing the same issue, I've merged your threads. ๐Ÿ˜‰

  • On Xbox there's an option in game settings to adjust the size of the screen which might help. It's under Game options > Other > Adjust margins.
  • On PlayStation, this option is not available from the in-game settings because the game takes your console settings. This means you can adjust margins from PlayStation settings: from the PlayStation 4 home screen go to Settings > Sound and Screen > Display Area Settings

Could you try that?

You can also try to play with your TV settings.

    I figured it out. It took me like 5 mins lol. I had to adjust the margins. Thank you mia

    Thanks for that info! Realised the issue only happened when I moved the console from the tv from which I downloaded it from to two other tv's I tried to play it on (55->37)
    Didn't realise there was a margins option even after looking ๐Ÿ˜‚

    I don't have an 'adjust marigins' option in my game. I looked for it everywhere in the option menu but it's not there.

    Edit: nevermind, I actually got it to work. Didn't realize I had to leave the game and come back in lol. This thread helped a lot, thanks!

    Ive adjusted and readjusted through my PS4 settings but its doing the same thing. Any advice?

    Hi @Tug0408,

    Have you tried to restart the game just to make sure changes apply? If that doesn't work, could you give restarting your console a try?

    I can't figure out how to get to game options. I'm afraid the button to select is off the screen because stuff is cut off. Please help.

    This apparently fixes it for Xbox but not for PS4. Iโ€™ve tried adjusting the PlayStation settings and my TV settings but the PS4 gives a warning that changing the box settings may not work on all games... and it doesnโ€™t work on PS4. I canโ€™t see any of the HUD without using accessibility zoom ins. Itโ€™s annoying as can be. I canโ€™t believe EA didnโ€™t QA for screen size, knows this is an issue, and still hasnโ€™t patched it.

    I went from a 40โ€ to a 55โ€. Itโ€™s just as bad.

    Hello, Mai

    i have an xbox 1 and Iโ€™m playing with the Sims 4. At the beginning, it asked me to adjust the margins but I made it too big so the outer rim of my game is cut off. This is really annoying! I canโ€™t find game settings/options in settings and I have no idea what to do!

    Please help me!

    Hi everyone,

    On Xbox, you can access the settings by pressing the Menu button (Start). From there, you can go to Game Options, and the option to adjust the screen is here:

    This is in the centre of the screen so you should be able to get to that option, but in case it's not the case, please, could you take a photo of how the game looks in your monitors and share it with us as an answer to this post? Also, could you let us know which monitor/TV model you are using so we can investigate it? In the meantime, try to restart the game and press Menu button (Start) > get into Game Options > Go down > Go left > Press A > Go Righ > Go right > Press A. This should get you to the screen adjusting option.

    @foresthag - changing the display area settings on PS4 should change the size of the game screen. If this is not happening for you, could you take a photo of how the game looks in your monitors and share it with us, including in your answer the model of the monitor/TV you are using?

    Hello,

    We are experiencing the same issue with our new Xbox one X. The Sims screen is too big for our TV and we cannot find the game options place you are describing. Can you please advise where to find this game settings option.

    We will try this. Just to confirm as i am not a player and my daughter is. Is the menu button the A button? She is confused as to which one is the menu button and was thinking it was the X button in the middle of her controller.
