Hi,

I will let you know if I have any information to share with you in this thread.

If you are having this issue, my recommendation for now is to create a new save and don't wait until you want to close the game to save, but save often instead while you are playing. For example, you could save just before travelling, or every day when your Sims wake up. If the problem appears in that new save, as you have been saving often, you can close the game without losing all the progress.

And if you want to be even more careful, you can save your progress in two different save slots - saving in one of them each time you are going to save. This way if one of them doesn't allow you to save, you will still be able to use the second one.

    Ok now my game won’t save at all!!! I exited out of my game even though I didn’t want to cuz I made so much progress... but I tried loading my auto save and trying to save which failed and I tried loading my last manual save and tried to save and it failed. I even prevented from traveling on both attempts all I did was walk a few feet then attempt to save and on both the last auto save and manual save, neither saved... early access sucks. Should’ve just waited till actual launch...

    I am having the same issue on PS4.

    I am on the 3rd sim day, I hung out at my sims lot, until I was invited to GeekCon. I travelled to GeekCon, had some food, bought a t-shirt, spoke to a couple of people and played the gaming rig, before buying some fireworks and heading home.

    When my sim arrived home, I tried to save the game but I am having the same problem as everyone else, I tried travelling somewhere else and saving no luck, I travelled back home and tried to save again no luck, I tried to save in build/buy mode no luck, I tried exiting the game and saving before it quit, no luck, I tried going to manage world and saving no luck.

    This is a major issue and it really needs to be fixed!

    this is a problem even the customer support service basically tried to tell me i bought a bad game and then began to tell me that i pre ordering a game is worthless and that i should just go get a refund is this how you treat your company treats it's customers . I understand that this is not you personally as i see you are active about helping but the lady who i got in contact with her name was shelila (sorry if i misspelled ) started arguing with me almost implying i bought some early bootleg version or something going on about the game has yet to even come out And when i asked for a manager after she got done ranting and arguing with herself put me on hold for 20 minutes someone answered claiming to me the manger (i don't remember her name but it started with a g i had her spell it out for me.) Quite honestly this person sounded exactly the same with a attitude didn't even bother to answer the phone professionally at all and began to rush me off the phone with no effort at all but to tell me to go get a refund on a game i bought for my girlfriend i don't understand how people can be so rude when asked questions about a game when they are in customer support

    This has to be or will become a wide spread issue. This issue is affecting me on both xboxs in my house: the worlds most powerful console (xbox X) and some one else in my house who plays on xbox one. I've lost around 15 hours work of time spent and the other person close to 10 hours. PLEASE get this fixed soon!!! My current game WILL NOT save even after i back out and reload the save. This is a real nightmare. I'm already giving up on this game, but sims 4 releasing on console is a dream come true for my mom and daughter. They won't give up so easily. They were lit when they found out this was coming to consoles and literally counted the days till release.

    Your last post advise is incorrect. When this save bug hits you it doesn't matter how many save slots you got, the game doesn't save period. I've been gaming for over 30 yrs and i've become OCD with have multiple save slots. I've got 3 saves on my current family and not one of the files will save, nor will it save when you try and save and exit to menu. This is so F'd. I really hope this gets fixed soon.

    I have the same problem everyone else is having. I experienced it during the trial, and now on the “full” version. The problems during the trial should have been a red flag for me I suppose, but like an idiot I spent the $100-ish on the deluxe edition and DLC. Now I’ve lost all progress across multiple saves and 15 hours of progression. Super.

    Not sure I can give any additional information that everyone else hasn’t already provided. This problem has occurred across multiple saves, with Sims on different properties & in different “Worlds”, both from the trial (no DLC) and the deluxe version with all DLC. I’ve tried every workaround, and travelling does not trigger an autosave as the only auto-save is from the very start.

    Sorry if I sound bitter, but this seems like a crazy thing for a QA team to miss seeing as to how it is affecting so many people across both PS4 and Xbox One. At what point do we as consumers start getting refunds for a defective product?

    P.S: I fully respect the moderators who are diligently answering complaints and trying to resolve the problem. I know it isn’t your fault, and please don’t take my frustration personally!

    I have had this issue since this and I can tell you this doesn’t work, at all. I’ve lost a total of 12 hours, maybe even more, progress. Honestly it’s so defeating I hardly want to even play it anymore.

    Hello!
    I am also having trouble saving my progress, I am currently playing on Xbox One. I’m having all of the same issues as previous posters however i wanted to share something with you and everyone else. It seems that if I am able to save without the game freezing (which it does 80%of the time) I can uninstall and then reinstall to get my latest saved data back.

    If the game freezes when you try to save click the left thumbstick to bring up the contol layout that will unfreeze the game. After that go to manage worlds, select just go to manage world (do not save) once the map loads press start to bring up the menu and select exit to main menu (do not save just exit) then load the last auto save. Your game should have auto saved and you can continue until the issue happens again. It's worked for me every time so far

    So I'm playing the Sims 4 on the Xbox one and I can't seem to save any games. There is an auto save that seemed to have gone through but since then there are no new auto saves. I can't make any new saves. The game freezes when I save and the blinking green balloon pops in somewhere. Only way I can get out of the freeze is to click controls menu but I still can't save games after. This has happened twice now. Rebooted and still happens. Reinstalled and it still happens. The game is unplayable until this gets fixed.

    I pre ordered the Sims 4 for my Xbox one and then spent extra money buying the vampire/city packs. only to find out it seems to be a waste of money as cannot save my game!! played for hours, went to save then a circle comes up in the left hand corner of the square flashes a couple of times then freezes the game. The only way to unfreeze is to press in the right stick. But that dose not help me save my game so all progress is lost. feel like there is no point in playing any more. is or will there be a solution to this problem???

    Game wont allow me to save on ps4! I paid $74 dollars. $64 (including tax) for the party deluxe and $10 for the vintage glamour pack so Id expect the game to playable. Its hard if the game refuses to save when I tell it to. so if I want my progress to not be lost I have to do something that will cause auto save.

    Please fix this soon! its starting to feel the game is ripoff if its nearly impossible to progress through the game and return.

    what happens is if I click save, the green circle will show. disappear and then the menu when you pause re appears and is hard to exit out of it. No courser...nothing. If I click on a certain button it will return to normal but the save never happened.

    Fix this soon! I spent good money for a game that is nearly impossible to save.

    Keep this thread going.

    EA most of us just want this fix and we will move on, continuing to enjoy the platform but if we're being ignored more than 24 hours like we have, that's when people demand refunds.

    We need an update on your progress in solving the save functions on Xbox AND PS4.
