Retail Checkout Issue

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:Sony Playstation 4
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Often (50% - 99%)
What is your current game version number? 1.32.85.3400 (64 Bit)
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Expansions: Seasons, Cars & Dogs, and Get to Work Game Packs: Parenthood, and Vampires
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? In the retail store try ringing up a customer. Often times the Sim will have the action in que. Yet never do the action to ring the customer up.
What happens when the bug occurs? I try to ring customer up, the action is then put into the que , but is never put into action.
What do you expect to see? My Sim should ring the customer up.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? On console - never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? No

@TheRogueMarksman Yes, that's exactly correct. If you have a busy store with lots of items and customers, it may just be causing too much delay. The pause may help.

  • @TheRogueMarksman When this happens, can you try pressing the "options" button to pull up the pause menu, or just pause the game using the bumper buttons to see if pausing the game for a few seconds will cause the action to be performed.

When you pause the game, you will see the thought bubbles on sims change and then it should be okay to unpause to see if the action carries out.

I will try this solution out as soon as I am able to do so. For clarification, I ring the customer up. Then pause and wait for the que to drop into the current action status.

But my character will go do other things will the check out is in que. He'll sometimes go to sit or use the computer in the office. While the act is in que. Why are those acts able to be done?

@TheRogueMarksman Sims will often queue up other things at the worst time when autonomy is on full. You can try disabling autonomy for the selected sim in the options while you are running the retail lot. This will prevent any interactions aside from retail.
