Sims 4 Build Not Working

First of all, I spent an hour on a room when suddenly my game stopped loading completely, and when I tried to save it wouldn’t work. I had to force quit my world and lost all my progress. Now, my sledgehammer isn’t working. It will get rid of some things and not others. One wall and not the wall next to it. Also, it wouldn’t work on a doorway. I tried to sell the doorway and it went away for a bit, but when I clicked the sledgehammer to knock down the wall and once I hit the icon the doorway came back. I have no mods not bought from the main EA store and this is a new world. It’s also just super glitchy in general. I left my computer for an hour for dinner and it’s still not working. This only happened after this new update. Please help.
