  • @EMMS2025 hey there, I'm also on Xbox Series X. I do find it more reliable but it means some careful management of game storage to help keep my game running smoothly. But we need to try and get you back into your game first.

So the first thing I'd do is power cycle your console by switching off your Xbox by pressing the Xbox button on the front for about 10 seconds till the light has stopped flashing and it shuts down completely. Unplug your Xbox power cable and wait 10 seconds. I usually wait a little longer to be sure as this resets the console power supply. Plug it back in and use the button on the front of the Xbox to switch it back on.

Once you've done that, you could try clearing locally saved data. If you haven't done that before just click on Sims 4 on your console home screen with the button with 3 lines on it and that will take you to Manage Game and Add-ons. Go to Saved Data and you'll see 2 sets of data. Pick the smallest set of data next to your gamertag and choose delete from console only. Then load up your game and as it's loading it will carry out a data synch and retrieve your data.

Once you are in your game you could then try clearing some space to try and prevent crashing. So, check your library and clear anything you don't need. Especially things like Gallery lots if you have any stored. If you have a lot of households, clear their inventories both household and personal. Check your Sim totals aren't near the limit you have set in Game Options and check on Other Households, I'd clear some non essential Townies out and do that regularly. I used to do it weekly but now I do it daily, especially after travelling to public lots and especially since adding For Rent.

I do this all regularly and it's definitely improved my game performance, my game rarely crashes. But there have been some crashing issues reported recently across consoles.

Here's some additional troubleshooting steps too:

Let us know if you continue to have problems because the crashing situation is being monitored.

    Good luck!
