Sims 4 won't save on Xbox and PlayStation

Thanks for your feedback on the patch.

I see it worked for most of you, but some of you are still having issues with your saves. As I did when we started this thread, for those of you who are still having issues (game freezing and not saving), I'm going to ask you to answer some questions so we can investigate this further. If your game is not freezing when trying to save, you might have a different issue. Please, instead of answering there, open your own thread and describe the problem in as many detail as you can. Thanks!

I feel your pain if I was you I'd get a refund too. It's really unfortunate for u as for me since they've patched the game mine has been saving wonderfully there is 100% NO saving issues anymore.

How do you clear the save data? I went to manage game on xbox and deleted the player save data and reserve by the game and then go into the game and can still load the old stuff. Also, does hitting “New Game” mean that everything saved henceforth is considered safe?

The lots where my old sims were are not there anymore, however, the files are still stored within the menu select. This is worrisome.

Why is nobody reading my reply, just don't travel.. when you leave your house lot it won't save.. IV been playing my file since the day after release and i can save fine

Here's my issue with the Xbox version. My game saves everything but doesn't keep the saves. Houses I built are gone sims I've made are gone but I look in the library and there they all are even the houses. It's making me very frustrated that I do all that work on a sim and everything just vanishes. I looked for an update and nothing. Please help with this issue.

Hi @Datsik0903,

Before closing the game, which option are you using to save?

Try to go open the menu and save, then select the option to go to the main menu. Are you seeing the save you just did under the Load option?

If so, close the game and start it again, was the save game you were just checking deleted?

@stellarednails "New game" creates a new save game, completely independent from your previous games. It allows you to have different save games, with different Sims that won't be able to meet each other and different houses.

If you want to continue playing, you should use the 'Load' button, which allows you to keep playing a previously saved game.

From your question, I guess you are creating new save games each time you play, that's why you don't see your previous Sims - use Load button and you will see them 😉

No, I was trying to delete the entire thing, since your post said they might be corrupted. And it wasn’t working. So I’d just go to new game and have the separate world, and the old stuff would still be there on load despite being deleted three times from memory. I know they’re there; all of the now duplicate save files.

Oh, I see, @stellarednails, thanks for clarifying. While there's not a button to delete saves, you can overwrite an old save game with a new one (created with 'New game'), that way you would be deleting the old save.

So when can we save on Xbox? cos I payed $60 for this game and no point in playing it...
