Sims 4 won't save (Xbox One)

I've been playing Sims 4 on the Xbox One for a few months now, after the recent update I went to get on and was notified that I needed to delete my saved data from the Xbox storage. I did so thinking it was backed up on my Xbox Live but when I got back on everything was still gone and the game started from scratch, adjusting the screen size and asking if I wanted to do the tutorial, etc. I figured I'd cut my losses and start fresh but when I'd finish in create a Sim and go to save to start the game it would crash and nothing would be saved. I completely uninstalled Sims 4 from my console and reinstalled it. I got on and everything seemed okay, I was able to save and start more than one game. But when I went to get back on everything was gone again. Has anyone else had this issue? I'm hoping it's not something to do with the Xbox itself. I don't want to delete everything I have on it for one game.
