Unable to interact in Sims 4 at all (PS4)

I didn't find anything on here that talked about my issue specifically or I completely looked over it. But in any part of the gameplay I just simply cannot interact with the game. I can go to settings, click anything in the main screen, I can scroll through the build mode catalogue and even click the items in there, but as soon as I wish to place it down or when I try to click a sim to do anything at all, nothing happens. The first time it happened I restarted my save and it fixed it. But when it happened again and I tried it, it didn't work. I tried with both mouse/keyboard and controller. I've restarted my my console (PS4) to see if it would fix the issue after also restarting the game itself. At this point I just don't know what to do to fix this, or if I can even fix it. Is there something I can do or do I just have to wait for another update hoping it'll fix it?
