{xbox} “Game Loading In Progress” cannot save game or go into build mode
- 2 years ago
@xXenoJiiva I'd follow the troubleshooting steps on this thread for power cycling your Xbox and see if that helps.
I also sometimes have to clear my locally saved data, that's the smaller amount of data next to your gamertag.
Manage Game and Add-ons>Saved Data >username --(file size) mb, delete from console.
Do not delete the larger file of data, that's a last resort and wipes your game.
When you restart your game the small file of data you've deleted will be restored as you will get a black box pop up and tell you your game is doing a data synch. That's the game retrieving your data and resynching to the cloud. It will carry on loading once it's finished the data synch.
This should get you back into your game. But it froze in the first place for a reason. If you have a lot of DLCs and/or are carrying a lot of saved content in your library and households that can need some attention.
So once you're in your game, I'd have a library clearout of anything you don't need to store, delete some random NPCs from Other Households, check previous households/Sims and clear their personal and household inventories. Having previous households with inventories full of items can cause loading/lagging/crashing/freezing. So I always clear all inventories before switching to a new household. I even empty the fridges. I also regularly cull NPCs in Other Households, especially after adding new content. Keeping an eye on all of these things can help maintain game performance.
If your game still won't load/save I'd check if any other games you have are working correctly. I have had help from Microsoft support that I can highly recommend if it's the console.
But if it's your Sims then there are other steps to take so let us know how you get on. Also keep an eye out for any error codes.
Hope this helps, good luck (I've been there!)
