So I spoke with apple and they said the terminal command may not be compatible with the new Venture update and would need a updated link... I recently did update to MacOS Ventura 13.. Is there an updated link?
Nothing has changed. Perhaps the person at Apple you spoke to misunderstood? These are basic Unix commands which is the foundation of macOS. I am running Ventura on my M1 Mac and have just tested the command and it works. I was prompted to allow access to the external drive by the OS during the process which MUST be permitted for the OS to successfully access the drive.
When I plugged in the drive:
Prompt when entering the Terminal command to move the Electronic Arts folder:
Check your System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Files and Folders settings:

I did this but a alias folder still isn't being created

Can you:
Copy and Paste the exact command you are attempting to use and the resulting output in Terminal.
