I edited my previous post 🙂 if you’re now storing the Electronic Arts folder within that folder using the symlink then no, do not delete it!
Did you read my guide and watch the accompanying video or only use someone else’s video? - 2 years ago@Bluebellflora Ohh ok I didn’t do that method the girl said I just ended up deleting. And I initially did watch your yt video and followed your guide but for some frickin reason when I got to terminal and tried moving the files it kept giving me that permission denied when I hit enter and I followed every single step girl I was up all night trying to figure it out until I came across her video and realized I didn’t allow access full access in the systems and privacy for sims 4 and origin 😩. But I just want to say thank you sooo much like I love you so much for taking the time out messaging and assisting me all day I know u get a bunch of the same questions over and over again lol 🫶🏾 So I’m gonna attempt to add some cc to my game and see if everything works out! 🥹

You’re welcome! Near the bottom of my guide, before the instructions on how to reverse the symlink, are a list of the common error messages and how to fix them. There’s a link directly to Apple’s website which explains about System Settings > Security & Privacy and allowing access. It’s really helpful 🙂 - 2 years ago
Hey Blue I thought I had everything down pack when sims loaded but my cc didn’t show up so I went back to ur site again to see where I went wrong and realized it never made the ea alias with the black arrow so I redid the steps and I now it’s unable to start. Do I need to reverse the symlink and do everything all over again? Or do I need to delete the ea white file first then reverse the symlink and try again?

@Bluebellflora I ended up reversing the symlink and I wanted to know if I needed to just rename ALL of those folders in my external drive so I can redo the symlink all over again or can I just delete them?

The base game and Sims 4 Packs folder are nothing to do with the symlink process.
If the symlink hasn't been created then there is nothing to reverse. When you thought you had successfully created the symlink what showed in Terminal after you entered the symlink command (step 2 in my guide)?
