You’re welcome! Near the bottom of my guide, before the instructions on how to reverse the symlink, are a list of the common error messages and how to fix them. There’s a link directly to Apple’s website which explains about System Settings > Security & Privacy and allowing access. It’s really helpful 🙂

@Bluebellflora  I ended up reversing the symlink and I wanted to know if I needed to just rename ALL of those folders in my external drive  so I can redo the symlink all over again or can I just delete them?

    The base game and Sims 4 Packs folder are nothing to do with the symlink process.

    If the symlink hasn't been created then there is nothing to reverse. When you thought you had successfully created the symlink what showed in Terminal after you entered the symlink command (step 2 in my guide)?
