Hi!
so I’ve encountered an issue with my sims 4 mods a while back I did the the whole transferring my mods from my laptop to an usb drive and it worked perfectly fine but it was a bit slow then recently I bought an external hard drive 2TB and decided to do the whole process again but to transfer from the usb drive to the external drive but now it won’t open and I keep getting the corrupted files messages even thought I just downloaded new updated mods please tell me what to do and I still get the same messages.
Please any suggestions on what to do?
Thank you 🙂
@nadineabdoun Please remove your mods and see whether the game loads properly. If it doesn't, move the Sims 4 folder back to your internal drive and test again. Even if you don't want to play like this going forward, it's important to know whether the cause of this error is the external drive or something else.
Please also let me know what format the external drive has.

Hi!
Thank you so much for the reply!I already tried all these methods I removed all my mods to my old usb and added only one to try and test it but I still get the same message and then I tried downloading new ones to the hard external drive and still receive the same corrupted and unable to start text.
But the game does work when I remove all the mods. The hard external drive I’m using is a : WD Elements 2TB.

@nadineabdoun Please move the Sims 4 user folder back to your internal drive, remove all your mods, and let me know whether the game works. It's important to isolate the cause of the error before proceeding.
For the external drive, I'm interested in its format, e.g. NTFS or exFAT. You can see it in Disk Managment, among other places.
