Here's a screenshot of what I see. The folder was created after I started my game and I wasn't sure if that's what I needed to trash

    It was empty until I started my game and it added the folder

    Thanks. You can trash that folder because, unless you've moved any files into it, it should not have any of your user data. Once you've trashed it you can create the symlink again providing your original Electronic Arts folder is still on the external drive.
