Hello,
After almost 12hours the sims 4 is now downloaded onto my external hard drive (a separate drive to the drive I have my EA folder on)
The problem now is that I keep receiving this message:
Unable to start:
The Sims™ 4 is already running.
[ed35e0ea:29f00e76:00000000:18a1dd51]
I have:
1. Removed the sims 4 folder in my EA folder in hopes the game would create a new one
2. Repaired the game 2-3 times
3. Cleared cache from the EA app
I'm not really sure what else to try atp.
Upon further digging and not sure how this might have happened but I think my symlink broke or something. When I go to my documents and then EA folder once I click onto it I see this.
First screenshot - looks like the base game app cannot be found or launched by the OS. Why is it in an Electronic Arts folder and what is the exact location of that folder?
Second screenshot - what is the exact location of this symlink? The full file path please.
- DearDiaryTS48 months agoRising Novice@Bluebellflora Hello, the BG has been downloaded onto an external hard drive. If im honest im not sure why it is in the EA app folder. I am currently able to launch the game and everything seems to be working fine.
However re-creating the symlink is the issue... I have responded on more detail regarding that. Id also like to thank you for your help thus far! Much, much appreciated 🙂
The previous symlink I had was reversed as my game was not launching. But it was on my external hard drive.
