I am unable to get to the cheats tab. The SHIFT+CTRL+C is not working.

Do have your SHIFT+CTRL+C binded to something else, like your AMD or NVidia video card, check settings and disable hotkeys

I unfortunately was not able to fix it this way. I have MacBook Pro, not sure what the issue could be.

  I'm not sure, but don't Mac user have to press CMD + SHIFT + C?

    It is the same keys on both Mac and PC. A common mistake on Mac is to instead use CMD and then ask here why it didn't work. CMD + C takes a screenshot.
